Last month, the George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering launched a new and improved website.  Features of the site include a complete design overhaul, which graphically highlights the multi-disciplinary offerings of the School, a searchable faculty and staff directory, and an all-new Life@ME page that showcases what students are doing on campus, as well as the feeds from the School’s social media accounts.

Along with the web presence, the Woodruff School’s communications strategy is significantly changing.  The focus will be on multimedia (i.e. photo, video, etc.) and social media.  As such, visitors of the website are sure to have a new experience upon each unique visit.

MEGaTech is also finding new beginnings. Traditionally a print publication, it’s been quite some time since the last edition was distributed. In an effort to keep our alumni more informed, as well as anyone with interest in hearing about the Woodruff School, MEGaTech will now be sent via email on a bi-monthly basis and will include web articles on current news and events.  The next edition is set to kick off the 2012-2013 academic year in mid August.

For communication on a more regular basis, be sure to like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, subscribe to our channel on YouTube, and request to join our group on LinkedIn.  Posts to each social media account will range in subject matter and special interest.

If you have any suggestions or comments about the communications strategy, please be sure to contact Melissa Zbeeb, Director of Communications.  Ideas and feedback are always welcome.
